Good morning,ladies and gentlemen.I’m No. 1 candidate,applying for junior middle school English teacher.My topic is Birthday. Let me start off reading the dialogue...Now class begins.
Ⅰ. Warming-up
T:Hello,boys and girls.I want to know how many students there are in our class.Please count the number one by one,OK?
T:Are you happy today?I am very happy today.Because today is my birthday. Would you like to sing a song for me?
Ⅱ. Presentation
T:Thanks for your song,class.My birthday is in January.Then who can tell me how many months there are in a year?Yes,twelve. Do you know what the name of each month?
T:Boys and girls,this is a calendar,there are twelve months on it.Let’s learn them one by one. Look,this is January,read after me“January”.
T:All of you did a good job.Look at the PPT.On the left side,there are some cardinal numeral.Let’s read them together.Look at the right side,these numbers are ordinal numeral.who can read these numbers?Li Ming,can you have a try?
T:Good job.Now please arrange yourselves to form eight groups of four and discuss the rule of changing the cardinal numeral into ordinal numeral.
T:Please look at the PPT,there are some dates. Who can read the first date for me?Lily,have a try?
T:Good. That’s right. Boys and girls,read the rest dates in your group and try to find how to express the date.
T:Yes,we can have a conclusion that the rule of the date is:month+day. And we use ordinal numeral to express date,for example:January first.
Ⅲ. Practice
T:Let’s listen to the passage. For the first time,just listen and get a general idea. For the second time,listen to the tape and complete the blanket below.
T:Let’s listen to it for a third time. Pay attention to the intonation and rhythm of the passage and try to read with the tape.
Ⅳ. Production
T:Class,read the dialogue with your desk mates,and then show your dialogue to the whole class.
T:Guess what it’s time for now?Yes,our interview time. You’ll have an interview with your partner. Ask and answer the birthday date with your partner. Have a role play and then several of you will be invited to act out your dialogue to the class.
